Avrial Group of companies is continuing construction of buildings for mega project Arctic LNG 2

The installation of 2^nd warehouse for Saren B.V. (Netherlands) is coming to an end. At the same time our company is performing works on covering framework of the ethane storage warehouse.

Totally, Avrial buils 4 structures for project Arctic LNG 2.The training center and one of the warehouses are put into commission. The duct shafts and equipment meanwhile are being installed in the 2^nd warehouse.

The ethane storage warehouse, which is now being covered, is a unique structure, consisting of 3 different parts with 3 different heights 3,5 m, 6,5 m and 8,4 m.

One of the project’s features is a non-standard site. The ethane  storage warehouse is located on the floating dock with cantilever 13,8 m high. Due to such a challenging site we could not proceed with the way we executed concrete works, drilled and placed chemical anchors when installing two other storage warehouses with girder foundations. Therefore we in advance confirmed with the customer inserts to be put locally for metal frames’ pillars installation. When placing floor slabs space was left for metal plates (inserts). Then metal frames’ pillars were welded to them.

By now the framework’s installation is 80% ready. Then Avrial erectors will start installation of the enclosing structures - flexible sandwich panels. This state-of-the-art material is the own development of the company. It has shown high exploitation characteristics when used for construction of heated buildings and buildings operated under aggressive environments.
